August Bo Bunny Sketch

Bo Bunny has a Layout Sketch contest up on their blog. The sketch is fantastic and was created by Shanna Vineyard.

Here is the sketch:

To mix it up I chose to make my layout a landscape 11 x 8.5 layout which is one of my favorite sizes to create!
I replaced the scalloped strip along the top with a strip of Powder Blue Dot punched with the Martha Stewart Arch border punch.

I used patterned papers and stickers from Bo Bunny's Calypso Line ... don't you love that BBQ? I cut that out VERY carefully with my Xacto knife!
For the title work, I cut a Chunky Chip bracket in half and filled the frame with the Wild Berry Dot patterned paper. The title is cut with my Wishblade. The shiny blue dots are made with Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink.

One More Bo Bunny "Orange" Layout

I couldn't resist pulling together one more layout for the Bo Bunny Orange Challenge. This one also uses the Popsicle Line, Double Dot and Flirty stickers!

For some extra pizzazz... I stitched around the title on the sticker with DMC floss!

Bo Bunny Orange Challenge!

If you check back through my blog - I've dedicated this month to showcasing work done with Bo Bunny products. It's been such a blast because their products are versatile and full of variety! They range from whimsical to elegant which can make each project so unique!
This week they are running a challenge to create a layout using the color orange. I couldn't resist jumping right in!

I created this layout using a photo I took using an undewater camera. The photo is less than perfect - but with these fabulous papers - it really doesn't matter. It really is the memory that matters, right?!

How about a couple of tips on how I created this layout? The sun was really fun to create. I started with the scalloped circle which is punched using the Extra Large Giga punch by Marvy. Then I punched the Wid Berry Red Dot Patterned Paper using the Large Circle punch. The sparkle comes from a combination of orange jewels placed on each of the scallops and then I stitched “Pearlescent” DMC floss around the Wild Berry Red circle to give it both definition and sparkle. To complete the sun I put a circle of Juicy Orange Popsicle with 3D tape in the center. I added the sun rays around the sun and outlined them with white pen for definition.

For the title I added patterned paper to the chipboard Bo Bunny Alphabet. Then I outlined each letter with white pen for definition. The white outlining makes all the difference in the world.

I created the clouds out grid pattered paper, then inked and outlined them. The waves have glitter glue on them for sparkle and the orange wave has gems added to each of the flowers.

So this is my Orange challenge - I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! It's been a bit of sunshine as we remember back to our Boogie Boarding vacation!
