Bo Bunny has another challenge on their blog! This time the challenge was to create a layout, card or altered project using the color aqua! Hmmm! That was a little challenging for me since I really had to dig through my remaining Bo Bunny materials to find product that was aqua.
We just returned from a few camping trips and I had a couple of pictures of me and the hubby ... and I quickly saw a recurring theme... BRAIDS! I could easily see this layout coming together!
The newest release of Bo Bunny product has wonderful shaped papers - but my LSS doesn't have them in yet so I decided to be creative and make my own. I punched circles out of the dotted patterened paper using a circle punch. Then I inked every one of those little circles… and adhered them to the back of the aqua cardstock circle making my own shaped scalloped paper!
Inking the edges of the chipboard flourish and frame with white pen gave them the definition they needed to “pop”… and then a sprinkling of Bo Bunny gems and buttons completed the page.
Here is my completed layout:
Here is the journaling:
Braids… at 42? Why in the world would I wear braids at 42? I can only think of one reason, and it’s the best reason in the world. My husband loves to see me in them. When I wear braids, he can’t resist grabbing them and giving them a playful tug. It must be the little boy still in him… and that makes it worth it. So … just for him – once it a while, I forget that I’m over 40 and wear braids!
